Tours of Our Garden
Welcome to our Garden Tours—a living record of how the garden changes through the seasons and across the years. This page brings together a collection of walks through the garden at different moments in time, showing not just how it looks at its peak, but how it evolves month by month.
Here, you can explore the rhythm of the garden—early spring emergence, the fullness of summer, the structure of autumn, and the quiet architecture of winter. Each tour offers a snapshot of what’s happening right then, from planting combinations and color to growth patterns and seasonal challenges.
Whether you’re looking for inspiration, planning your own garden calendar, or simply enjoying the process, these tours reveal the garden as it really is—always changing, always teaching.
The Magic of Winter in Our Garden
There is something truly enchanting about witnessing the first snowfall settle over a garden.
In this video, Connie and I invite you to wander with us through our magical garden as it transforms under a fresh blanket of snow—both in the daylight and at night.
We begin with daytime drone footage gliding at head height above our pond and pathways, capturing the stillness of the snow and the glimmer of koi beneath the icy surface.
Close-up photos show delicate plants, leaves, and branches dusted with pristine snow.
You even get a cameo from Franklin as he “helps” us fly the drone!
As the daylight fades, the video shifts into the true magic of winter nights in the garden: trees glowing with warm lights, snowy reflections, and the quiet presence of wildlife.
